ASI - Scone Power Supply Upgrade
ASI used Trax on the Scone Power Upgrade to manage QA, logistics, and commissioning records across remote sites.
Scone Power Upgrade
The Scone Power Upgrade was delivered in regional NSW, with teams working across remote locations and long travel distances.
ASI wanted to move away from fragmented message threads and manual certificate handling, especially with two ARTC possessions where closeout timing was tight.
Trax was used across both the Installation Work Package (IWP) and Commissioning Work Package (CWP). Design cables and assets, including GPS data, were loaded up front so field records were tied to real assets from day one.
Project outcomes
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Digital forms | 456 ITFs, work instructions, and certificates captured digitally in ARTC-aligned format |
| Asset-linked records | 67 civil and signalling assets tracked with GPS context |
| Issue response | 10 major issues raised and resolved faster through live reporting |
| Final export | Certificates backfilled with project data for ARTC submission |
During the possessions, 22 users worked through Events-based task assignment. Teams completed commissioning sign-offs in the field, and QA records were visible to management and ARTC representatives without waiting for email handover.
For ASI, the main gain was certainty: records were complete, traceable, and ready when hand-back decisions were being made.
