We know the job because we’ve done the work. If you want to know what Trax is about, it’s simple: we are rail and infrastructure people who grew tired of seeing solid projects slowed down by outdated systems. We do more than provide software; we work closely with our clients to ensure Trax solves the specific headaches found on-site.

How we got started

Scott, Ben, and Jaron never intended to start a typical software company. While working on Australia’s "Big Build," we encountered the same problems repeatedly. Projects were scaling in size and speed, yet the teams on the ground remained stuck with spreadsheets, messy paper trails, and manual data entry that failed to hold up under pressure.

Between us, we have over 25 years of experience in railway delivery, electrical engineering, and project management. We recognized that the industry required a digitized system built for the rail environment. We began building the foundations for Trax in 2016, testing it on live projects and refining it based on real-world results. Since then, it has grown into a reliable operating system for Rail Systems, Signalling, and major tunnelling works.

In an industry where everyone is short on time and talent is difficult to find, we are here to make the day-to-day easier.

Whether you are working in a tunnel or on a live track, you should not have to spend half your shift chasing paperwork. Our goal is to give teams the certainty they need to manage disruptions, get new staff productive quickly, and let experts focus on engineering rather than admin. We have replaced fragmented spreadsheets with a system that tracks assets properly and makes QA/QC a natural part of the workflow, rather than an afterthought.
